First time trying Indian food, and everything from the welcoming to the departure was amazing. The prices are a little higher, so be mindful of that. But it was an amazing experience. If you are looking for a place to eat especially if you have family or friends that like to share meals this restaurant do be a go to. Portions are nice, I had about 3 servings with the meal I ordered. Same with my friends that came.
My family and I absolutely LOVE Indian food! So when on vacation in Virginia Beach we searched for a place that could satisfy our craving and Masala Bites popped up on google. Based on all of the highly recommended reviews, we decided to give them a try.
Surprisingly, the restaurant was packed for it being a weekday. They had a large party too so I think that didn't really help with the wait times. We were seated right away but after that the service really went downhill. The waitress took a while to come by and get our order, after that she really didn't check in on us at all.
It's really the food that saved them from getting a lower rating! My husband and I got their Pavbhaji Spiced Samosa for appetizer and their Chicken Curry with Garlic Naan for our main dish. Everything was delicious! The curry was a tad bit spicy but we did order it medium, so if you like a lot of spice then get it that way! Other than that I'm sure mild would have sufficed. Their samosas were perfectly seasoned and the filling was just the right amount. The garlic naan was the perfect pairing with their curry dish also.
The only downside was that the service wasn't very good and the food took quite a while to come out. But I enjoyed the food! Hopefully they can increase their staff so customers aren't waiting for long periods of time. 3 stars for delicious Indian food!
Rinky/Raven gave us five star service! So did Parineet!
That was the highlight of the restaurant; their friendly service😊😊, closely followed by the ambience!
We have taken out food once and dined in today… The Makai Saag ( not in the picture) is the best thing I have tasted so far.
The desserts were good too!
Food could be a Lot better🙃.
The service is top notch from the management, staff, and cooks at this resturant. I had a problem getting to this resturant and I was unable to pick up my order, and they said they could put it in the fridge for me for later. I arrive the next day ready to pick up my food, and they made it fresh for me! I was surprised by how courteous they were. This will definitely be a place I go to again.
I am ok and understand the pricing ( even though it’s high) that we are in VA beach but quality and quantity of the food is the worst I have ever seen in US.
Chicken maili kabab for $18 with 4 small pieces and tater bad
Masala kabab trio for 19.99 with old pieces of goat and no flavor on chicken and fish was bad too
I can go on and on with everything we ordered - but taste does not good at all .
Save your money - super expensive
Great Indian cuisine! Good service and atmosphere; reasonably priced, delicious food. Chaat of the day was unique and flavorful, also loved the onion bhaji and mango chutney. Garlic naan, tikka masala, and biryani were what you would expect, all very good. Dessert sampler was a great way to end the meal - definitely recommend the flourless chocolate cake, although the gulab jamun was unique and very good as well. Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you want some good Indian food!
Love coming here with my wife. Great food and superior service. Butter chicken at a level 3 heat is awesomely good! And whatever you do, don’t forget to get some garlic naan.
This was our first Indian food experience since arriving in Virginia Beach. It did NOT disappoint.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food and a warm and friendly staff. This made for a wonderful dining experience.
We will definitely be making this a regular stop when desiring Indian food. We think you should too!
